With the World Series approaching, let’s take a look back at how Call to the Pen had you covered for the end of the division series and ongoing LCS’s.

Friday

Tim traveled back in time to examine the roots of the Texas Rangers following their first round playoff victory.

Lew examined the White Sox surprising hire of Robin Ventura and also, much to his pleasure, the Yankees early postseason exit.

After his impressive performance for the Tigers in the ALDS, Mickey introduced us all to Don Kelly.

Saturday

Mickey took a closer look at Chris Carpenter’s phenomenal game five start that propelled the Cardinals into the NLCS.

Lew outlined the disappointment that was the end of the Philadelphia Phillies season.

Sunday

After dropping game one of the ALCS, Mickey had a message for the Tigers offense, wake up!  At least he could enjoy one thing about game one, Terry Francona’s performance as fill-in announcer.

Meanwhile, Lew admitted that the Brewers were starting to look like legitimate title contenders.

Monday

Lew told us why, at this point, winning the World Series is harder than ever.

While Cincinnati’s since denied trade rumors, I took a look at Joey Votto’s future with the Reds.

Tuesday

Lew checked out the pending free agency of Albert Pujols.

Tim gave us all a taste of how our National Pastime has changed over the years, comparing the game we know today with the one played a century ago.

With C.C. Sabathia’s opt-out decision looming, Mickey took a look at some possible starting pitching targets for the Yankees.

Wednesday

With the Tigers staying alive in the ALCS, Lew told us why a World Series berth would mean more to Detroit that Texas.

Thursday

Following all of the craziness coming out regarding the Red Sox in-game routines, Lew explained why Boston just needs to grow up.
