Bryan Stow Beating Suspects Face Federal Weapons Charges

Louie Sanchez and Marvin Norwood, the suspects in the beating of San Francisco Giants fan Bryan Stow, now face federal weapons charges. A criminal complaint filed Monday charged Sanchez and Norwood as being felons in possession of firearms. If Sanchez and Norwood are convicted, they could face up to 10 years in federal prison.
Sanchez and Norwood are the two men accused of beating Bryan Stow into a coma on Opening Day 2011. Now the duo faces weapons charges following the discovery of several weapons that were recovered from Norwood’s home. The police believe that Norwood was hiding the weapons for Sanchez.
Sanchez and Norwood are due back in court next week on the weapons charges. The two men have already pleaded not guilty to charges of assaulting Stow, and a trial date has not yet been set.
Stow has recovered from his coma to the point where he’s able to talk and feed himself. The former paramedic is now living in a rehab facility. While he still suffers ramifications due to the beating, such as short-term memory loss, Stow has progressed well from his life-threatening injuries.
In a special moment, Stow appeared on the Giants video board this Opening Day telling his son Tyler “good luck” as he threw out the first pitch.
