Troy Tulowitzki Still Not Ready for Return

Fans of the Colorado Rockies haven’t had much to cheer about this year and it appears that their star attraction, shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, is still perhaps a week away from returning from a groin injury that has kept him out since late May.

Troy Renk of the Denver Post reports Tulo “remains driven to return this season, but not if he can’t play at 100 percent.”

The season has only about 30 games remaining and Tulowitzki will miss at least 5-7 more, from the sounds of it. Obviously, there are no playoff implications for the Rockies at all, but his health could impact the NL West race. If Tulo can return by the next Rockies homestand, September 10, He would face off against the Giants seven more times this season. The Rockies have but three games left versus the Dodgers.
