The writers of Call to the Pen have cast their ballots for the best players by position in each division.  A brief word on the process:

  • The players expected to start for their respective teams were on the ballot
  • The writers ranked the players 1-5 by position
  • The player was assigned a numeric value which corresponded to their ranking (Mike Trout would get 1 point for being ranked first)
  • Players with the lowest number are the best players

I am the new AL West correspondent for CTTP (follow on Twitter @C_Oberholtzer) so lets take a look at the top ranked players in the A.L. West by position.

*Note there were ten ballots cast, therefore a unanimous top-ranked player would have 10 points.
