Chicago White Sox

last week: 4-3 (dropped 2 of 3 to the Tribe; won Crosstown Cup v Cubs, 3-1)

Good news on the horizon as Chris Sale is scheduled to throw another bullpen session tomorrow. This is according to Joe Popely of MLB.com. He did have a session on Wednesday, and Sale reported no setbacks and he feels fine. As for a return, the White Sox brass in content by having their ace take his time.

Speaking of the Pale Hose injured, Adam Eaton was placed on the disabled list a few days ago due to a hamstring issue. In the same report with the Sale news, Popely notes that Eaton is currently riding a stationary bike. As with Sale, the club will be cautious with its handling of Eaton. Speed is a vital part of his game, and hamstrings must be dealt with carefully.

I said something about this the other day, but have you checked Adam Dunn’s numbers thus far? He’s fallen off a bit since then, but his slashline of .268/.405/.485 is something worth noting again. Should Dunn continue on that pace, the batting average and OBP would be career highs. The SLG would represent his highest since 2010 (.536) when he was with the Washington Nationals.

This week’s schedule: Arizona (3), @ Oakland (3), off Thursday
