With his sixth-inning solo shot on Thursday, Albert Pujols passed Mickey Mantle for 16th all-time on the career home run list with 537. It was Pujols’ 17th homer on the year.

Mike Schmidt (548) is next on the ladder for Pujols, who needs 11 more home runs to move into 15th all-time. At the rate he’s performing this year, he’ll likely be sitting there sometime this summer.
