Just because the free agency class in the MLB may be considered a bit weak does not mean that there won’t be a few bargains. Let’s take a look at some infielders that could outperform their contracts.

This year’s MLB free agent class is weaker than usual, but there are some under-the-radar infielders that may get some offseason notice.

We are almost two weeks into this 2016-2017 offseason, and so far, there has been little sizzle. The opening stages of this offseason have featured some small, minor deals, and two bigger deals. However, the bulk of the major free agents available remain on the market, and only time will tell where those free agents wind up. There is no doubt players like Yoenis Cespedes, Mark Trumbo, Wilson Ramos ,and Dexter Fowler will likely get big-money deals. There is no doubt that those players, among others, will be incredibly sought-after by a variety of teams. However, there are other names out there that may also be considered.

Hidden among the big names are other names that have enjoyed moderate success. These players have done enough to get them noticed in the MLB in 2016. In addition, these players may have done enough to earn them recognition this offseason. On this list contains a plethora of infielders that can be beneficial for a number of teams going forward. These infielders broke out, or continued recent success during the 2016 season.
