With the naming rights agreement between the Seattle Mariners and Safeco Insurance coming to an end after the 2018 season, the Mariners will be looking for a new name for their ballpark.

The Seattle Mariners announced on Tuesday that the team will be looking for a new name for Safeco Field after the 2018 season. The longtime partnership with Safeco Insurance comes to an end at that time and they have chosen not to extend their naming rights agreement. The stadium has never been known as anything other than Safeco Field since it opened in the summer of 1999.

One celebrity who spent some time in Snohomish, Washington, when she was younger had a suggestion for a new name for the ballpark. Model Chrissy Teigen suggested on Twitter that “Tiegen Fields” would be the perfect name. The Mariners responded with a photo mock-up with her name in lights.

Chrissy Teigen is just one possible celebrity from the Seattle area who could lend a name to the new stadium. Action-hero movie star Chris Pratt was raised in nearby Lake Steven, Washington. To honor him, the Mariners could name their stadium Pratt Park. Another possibility would be Faris Field, named after Pratt’s wife, actress Anna Faris, who graduated from the University of Washington.

Rainn Wilson, who played Dwight on The Office and also graduated from the University of Washington, would approve of Schrute Stadium. Schrute Stadium would undoubtedly have a number of beets-related foods at the concession stands and perhaps a beet-flavored beer.

In reality, the Mariners wouldn’t name their stadium after a celebrity because there’s no money in it. They have already said they are in preliminary talks with different companies about possible naming rights opportunities. Fans on Twitter were ready with their own suggestions, based on local businesses.

Starbucks Grounds was a popular idea, named after the ubiquitous coffee company that has spread like wildfire across the country. According to statista.com, there are more than 13,000 Starbucks Coffee places in the U.S. The Starbucks mermaid logo can be seen in Hollywood movies, including The Devil Wears Prada and You’ve Got Mail, so expanding their advertising reach to naming rights of a sports venue in Seattle wouldn’t be a surprise. They could take it to a whole other level by naming it Unicorn Frappuccino Field.

Other local businesses that could be possibilities include Nintendo, Microsoft, Costco and Boeing, although Boeing Field already exists. Officially, Boeing Field is the King County International Airport, but it’s known by locals as Boeing Field. Having two of them would just be confusing for taxi drivers and airplane pilots. “Flight 177 is now landing in center field.” Maybe Boeing Ballpark would be different enough. Also, Nintendo sold most of their ownership shares last August, so they are probably out for naming rights. Microsoft Field or Costco Park, perhaps?

Another online suggestion was Amazon Fresh Field because Amazon.com has a large presence in the Seattle area. If it were Amazon Fresh Park, you would hope there would be food delivery available to every seat. Ideally, all concessions items would be delivered by drones.

Among the Mariners-related suggestions were the Neihaus House, named after longtime announcer Dave Niehaus. My Oh My Stadium would work for him also. Griffey Park was another idea. After all, Safeco Field was called “The House That Griffey Built” when it opened in 1999, which is ironic because Griffey only played a half season there before taking his talents to Cincinnati. IchiroLand has a nice ring to it. On the other hand, there is absolutely zero support for Bill Bavasi Ballpark or Chone Figgins Field.

Fieldy McFieldFace got some mentions. At least that one was humorous. There was one particularly painful suggestion for a new stadium name, especially after a recent series during which fans from Canada invaded Safeco with their dark blue Toronto Blue Jays shirts: Rogers Centre West. That’s not going to happen.
