Not that bizarre, he's already playing some OF in spring training and other teams may want him now that the Jays have spent the money getting him ready.

Double down: What a bizarre post, sure he could be working out to play catcher, 3b and pitch all at the same time but he's not going to see the OF. Considering he's only played 20x there since 2009. As far as "other teams will jump at the chance to get him" You do understand he worked out for 4 clubs in the week prior to the Jays signing him as well as in the spring, nobody signed him, obviously. Not that its worth continuing but your lack of insight is so baffling. Lets pretend the Jays didnt want a left handed DH why would they trade him to Detroit or any other AL team that has any chance of chasing one of the WCs? Then in turn, why would a team not chasing something want him for 6 months? Please try to insert some level of common sense in your replies. Thanks

The Tigers have the 2nd lowest draft pool in baseball, and I don't see any way they drop a ton of it on one guy in Giolito, who I think goes before the 2nd anyway. The Tigers, with the exception of Nick Castellanos two years ago, haven't exactly been dropping a ton of money over slot the last couple of years. They've been selecting a lot of college players. With their low bonus pool, and their high major league payroll. The Tigers are going to be very boring. I wouldn't be surprised to see a repeat of the 2008 reliever draft.
