Baseball Side of FanSided (6/12)

facebooktwitterreddit

Still on vacation in Minnesota and while that led to yesterday being the first day since this site’s launch without an article, it can’t stop the Baseball Side of FanSided from appearing as scheduled.  It was a big week in the world of baseball.  Not only did we get to enjoy the 2010 MLB draft, we also got to enjoy the major league debuts of mega-prospects Stephen Strasburg, Mike Stanton, and Carlos Santana.

I can’t wait to see what the next week has in store for us but until then, please enjoy the following links (after the jump).

Announcements:

Anuj Agarwal, our contributing writer for Halo Hangout, has elected to become the lead writer of our Los Angeles Dodgers site Lasorda’s Lair.

Help Wanted:

If you are interested in joining our MLB staff to write for one of the listed teams, please don’t hesitate to contact me at thebaseballfish@fansided.com.  We break our staff down into two roles.  Lead Writers are expected to write and publish content on a regular basis.  Contributing Writers are expected to write and publish at least one article per week but are welcome to write more if they choose to do so.

Rox Pile (Colorado Rockies) – Lead Writer

The BBSoFS is a weekly article designed to highlight one article from each of our MLB sites on the FanSided.com Sports Network.  The ultimate goal is to increase the exposure of our MLB team sites, highlight some the work of our writers and in doing so pass along some articles that are relevant to the “happenings” and topics of the week that was.  The BBSoFS also affords me the opportunity to announce new writers to our MLB staff and also to announce staff openings that we have.  Typically this will be published on Saturday morning.
