Pen Pals: Who Is That Writing About Replay and Other News

Today is a special day here on Call to the Pen as we welcome a new columnist to the team.

He asked the question himself in his column on instant replay today,

"Who does this kid think he is by calling out the commissioner in his first column on the site?"

That kid is none other than Alex Brown who joins our team after writing as a contributor on our St. Louis Cardinals site Redbird Rants since July. While he will continue his Cardinals-based work on RR, I am confident that you will enjoy his work here on Call to the Pen. Alex’s weekly column will appear on Sunday.

His addition means that Erin Moore, who joined our staff on December 21st, is no longer the “low writer” on the totem pole. Speaking of Erin, I don’t believe I ever gave her a proper welcome so here we go.

She comes to us from our Minnesota Twins site, Twinkie Talk. We kept linking to her Twins-based content in our weekly Picks of the Pen series, so we figured we should go ahead and offer her a spot on our team. She was crazy enough to accept and has published 3 columns thus far. Erin’s columns will appear on Wednesdays, so if you like her work be sure to make visiting this site a part of your mid-week routine.
