Giants Will Give Away R2D2 Beanies On “Star Wars Day”

Those who love a little movie nostalgia with their baseball will really enjoy August 31st at AT&T Park in San Francisco. That’s the day the Giants will be giving away free R2D2 beanies as part of their Star Wars Day promotion.

Some might argue people in San Francisco are always a little spacey, so Star Wars Day should be very popular.

Honestly? The beanies are a little cheesy. I really don’t care for the Giants logo right in the middle.

But I guess this is pretty cool as stadium promotional items go. Not as cool as a Hunter Pence bobblehead complete with scooter though.

Knowing California baseball fans, Star Wars Day at AT&T should be a quite a show. Full wookie costumes should be abundant. Slave Leias making out in the upper deck? I think you can count on it.
