Joe Maddon Spoofs Infamous Mike Gundy Rant

Who can forget Oklahoma State football coach Mike Gundy’s infamous post game “I’m a man! I’m 40!” rant? It was a classic.

Well Joe Maddon is even more of a man than Mike Gundy. He’s 60! And he’s selling Rays Flex Packs.

Joe Maddon is to major league managers as Pete Carroll is to NFL coaches. So wonderfully youthful. So hip and happening.

Carroll has the gum, Maddon has the glasses.

One thing Maddon doesn’t have that Carroll does? The championship. But that could change this year. Or the Rays could finish dead last. That’s how wide open that division is.

Whatever happens in the race, we know Joe Maddon will have a good time. And his eyewear will cost more than everything I own.
