Josh Reddick scaling the wall to bring back a Mike Morse homer was definitely the highlight of spring training day one. The lowlight? That would be Carl Crawford’s slide attempt during the Dodgers-Diamondbacks game.

It’s early in the process but that’s no excuse. Even on spring training day 1 you have to be able to slide.

That is definitely not going to help Crawford in the battle for starting spots in that Dodgers outfield. Even with Matt Kemp still hobbling around, I’ve got to rank Crawford fourth in that outfield.

Prince Fielder cringes at Crawford’s sliding form.
