Allen Iverson is having his jersey retired in what is sure to be a moving ceremony tonight in Philadelphia. In honor of the former NBA great, Phillies outfielder Marlon Byrd donned an Iverson jersey in BP.

When I saw the link to this I was really hoping Byrd had on an actual basketball jersey in BP. I was disappointed to see him wearing a proper baseball jersey with Iverson’s name and number instead.
Byrd can send the jersey to Iverson now, and Allen can frame it and hang it over the space heater in his trailer. Seriously, dude made millions and he’s broke. How does that happen?
