Craig Biggio made his living as a catcher before becoming one of the great second basemen in baseball history.

But even with his experience as a backstop to help him, Biggio could not corral the wild delivery Nolan Ryan threw up there Tuesday night.

I mean yes, Ryan was known for wildness during his career, but I don’t think he uncorked too many like this.

Biggio had no shot. But on the bright side, at least he didn’t end up like Don Baylor.

And now let’s take a moment to break down Nolan Ryan’s delivery.

Actually, let’s not. Let’s try to remember him as he was when he was young.

For those who are themselves too young to remember…you’ll just have to trust me. Nolan Ryan was fearsome.
