Junior Lake realizes he’s wearing the wrong uniform (GIF)

Junior Lake has been getting a lot of grief on the internets this afternoon for hitting the field with the wrong version of the Cubs’ road uniform on.

As funny as the side-by-side shots are, the real comedy doesn’t come until you see the GIF of Lake realizing he has on the wrong uni.

Looks down. Sees “Chicago.” Looks over at centerfielder. Sees “Cubs.” Thinks to himself, “Uh-oh. This might be the wrong uniform.”

Lake quickly rectified the issue, donning the proper duds for the remainder of the game.

Not to make any excuses for Mr. Lake, but it was kind of a quick turnaround for the Cubs and Pirates this morning.

They played a 16 inning game Wednesday night, then had to come back for a noon ET start on Thursday.

Clearly, Lake did not get enough sleep in between games. Yeah. That was it.
