I can’t think of a better image to encapsulate the Mets’ 0-2 start than this GIF (via Pitchergifs) of the Mets apple slowly sinking into nothingness.
I have a feeling this GIF will still feel appropriate later on in the season.
Unless things turn around for the Mets, that’s the direction their season will continue to go.
Down. Down. Down. With excruciating slowness.
Like watching a ship sink. Except it’s a big plastic apple with a Mets logo slapped on the front.
It’s just about perfect.
