The Seattle Mariners made a roster move today…

You remember Hector Noesi, right? He was part of the trade in which the Mariners sent Michael Pineda and Jose Campos to the New York Yankees in exchange for Jesus Montero and Noesi.

During his time in Seattle, Noesi compiled a record of 2-14 in 36 appearances, 19 of those were starts. His ERA was 6.13 to go along with a WHIP of 1.496. Noesi has appeared in two games so far this season with rather cataclysmic results. In his first outing of the season, he worked an inning and allowed two runs on one hit in a 8-2 win against the Los Angeles Angels. It took him 25 pitches to survive the inning.

Noesi came into last night’s game and tossed all of two pitches before serving up a walk-off home run to Oakland A”s center fielder Coco Crisp home run for the A’s 3-2, 12-inning.

And if you’re a Yankees fan, you won’t have to get much from Pineda in order to “win this trade”. Between Noesi and Montero, they combined for a bWAR of -0.3 as Mariners.
