Joey Votto dressed as a Mountie when he appeared on MLBN’s Intentional Talk

One of the funniest segments of IT I’ve ever watched.

As many of you may know, Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto is from Toronto, Canada. His appearance on today’s Intentional Talk revealed a side of the 2010 NL MVP not too many of us have probably seen.

There’s really not too much you can say after watching the video. Eight minutes – and a little more – of some pretty funny stuff, most of which came from Votto. As reserved as he appears, I think this may have folks viewing him in a bit of a different light now. And that’s a good thing. Some fans have wondered if Votto even has a personality. They needn’t wonder anymore.

I did catch the Rocky and Bullwinkle reference. And where in the world did Nibbles come from? I suppose you’re permitted to act a little eccentric when you’re making the amount of dough Votto is.

But only one uniform? Mountie uniform, that is.

Might be the best interview Chris Rose and Kevin Millar have ever done. At least one of the funniest ones.
