There was really only one way for the Mariners to kick off their 2014 season at home.

They had to have a bunch of Seahawks come out, with the Lombardi Trophy in hand, and then have Russell Wilson throw the ceremonial first pitch.

All that happened Tuesday night. Complete with Pete Carroll hand claps.

Pretty solid hug between Felix Hernandez and Russell Wilson. You can almost hear Russell whispering in Felix’s ear.

“You think you’re the king? No. I’m the king. Don’t forget it.”

Russell Wilson is the king of Seattle. Which is weird because he’s not even close to being the best player on the Seahawks.

Earl Thomas or Richard Sherman is the best player. Wilson wouldn’t even be anything without that D and of course Marshawn Lynch.

But he’s the quarterback so he gets all the love from the fans.

Speaking of fans…can we just stop with the 12th man thing?

It’s just getting way too cute now. It’s veering into Cardinal Way territory.

Oooh, you’re the 12th man. The team can’t win without your support. Keep patting yourselves on the back, Seahawks bobos.
