If you ask me, a naturally gifted defensive player is the most majestic thing to watch in a baseball game. Face it, nothing is better than seeing your team pulling off a ridiculous play to save a run, end an inning or better yet, end a ballgame.

Whether the infield turning a remarkable double play or an outfielder making a near impossible catch, good defense is pivotal in baseball.

Here is who I think are the best defensive players at each position right now in the major leagues. In order to decide, I invented a formula – some personal opinion, some metrics and having some highlight reel standard defense was certainly favourable.
