MLB All Star Game: National League roster announced

The MLB All Star Game will take place next week and rosters were announced on Sunday evening. The National League squad will have four members from each of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Milwaukee Brewers, Cincinnati Reds, and St. Louis Cardinals.

1B: Paul Goldschmidt, Arizona

2B: Chase Utley, Philadelphia

3B: Aramis Ramirez, Milwaukee

SS: Troy Tulowitzki, Colorado

OF: Andrew McCutchen, Pittsburgh

OF: Carlos Gomez, Milwaukee

OF: Yasiel Puig, Los Angeles

Tulowitzki, with just over 5.3 Million votes, led all players in the National League but was still third overall.

C: Jonathan Lucroy, Milwaukee

C: Devin Mesoraco, Cincinnati

1B: Freddie Freeman, Atlanta

2B: Dee Gordon, Los Angeles

2B: Daniel Murphy, New York

3B: Matt Carpenter, St. Louis

SS: Starlin Castro, Chicago

OF: Charlie Blackmon, Colorado

OF: Josh Harrison, Pittsburgh

OF: Hunter Pence, San Francisco

OF: Giancarlo Stanton, Miami

Stanton was among the top three vote-getters for all outfielders for much of the voting period, but a late surge by Puig allowed him to step over him and into the starting lineup.

Finally, the pitchers named to the team include eight starters and five relievers.
