Derek Jeter is making the most of his final season in the Major Leagues. The longtime New York Yankees’ captain is receiving plenty of fan fare along the way and will start in his 14th All Star Game next week in Minnesota. He’s also leading all of baseball in jersey sales, according to an announcement by the MLBPA and MLB.com on Wednesday.

Jeter’s iconic #2 jersey has been atop the list before, but not in recent years.

Buster Posey, Clayton Kershaw, David Ortiz, Dustin Pedroia, Yadier Molina, Mike Trout, David Wright, Yasiel Puig, and Miguel Cabrera follow Jeter in the Top 10.

Andrew McCutchen, Freddie Freeman, Robinson Cano, Masahiro Tanaka, Anthony Rizzo, Manny Machado, Bryce Harper, Hyun-Jin Ryu, Tim Lincecum, and Yu Darvish round out the Top 20.

Twelve players in the Top 20 are 27 or younger with 15 different clubs being represented. The Los Angeles Dodgers are the only team with three or more players included.

Through 79 games Jeter is batting .270/.323/.323 on the year. He’s collected 87 more hits already, allowing him to increase his career total to 3,403 and counting. He’s already surpassed Paul Molitor this season on the career hits list to move into 9th overall. He should also surpass Carl Yastrzemski, Honus Wagner, and Cap Anson before long.
