7. Oakland Athletics
Record: 65-40, 1st in AL West
Potential four-man playoff rotation: Lester, Sonny Gray, Scott Kazmir, Jeff Samardzija

Could the A’s make another effort to bolster their rotation? Have seen a mention or two that they could, and Lester would almost be the cherry on top of what has been profitable mid-season dealings.

What could Oakland send? Tommy Milone could be a decent starting point since he’s not happy with his current situation. Milone was optioned when the A’s acquired Samardzija and Jason Hammel from the Chicago Cubs. If the A’s do not believe they can keep Hammel after this season, then Milone may be off-limits.

And next season would see A.J. Griffin, Jarrod Parker and Drew Pomeranz in the rotation mix. Griffin and Parker are on the mend from TJS and both are unlikely to be ready at the onset of the 2015 season. Another reason Milone may not be available.
