Ranking the Top Five NL MVP Candidates in 2016

Whereas the American League is loaded with young talent, the National League boasts some of the game’s best veterans – but that doesn’t mean the NL doesn’t have its fair share of young, exciting players.

Reigning MVP Bryce Harper is once again expected to contend for the award, as his dominant 2015 season put him among the top five players in the game.  However, it’s likely Harper will have stiff competition for the majority of this season.  Established stars like Andrew McCutchen and young studs like Kris Bryant could seemingly take the award if their teams find success and the Nationals falter.

Here are our predictions for which players have the best shot at winning the NL MVP award in 2016.
