Every year Major League Baseball fans get to make their own mark on the All-Star Game. They elect the starting lineups, aside from pitchers, and they get to choose one final roster player for each league from a provided list of players.  The list of players typically includes five very good players who all probably could have made the MLB All-Star Game to begin with. Each league has five players on the final vote ballot, and only one can get in (barring any injuries within the roster that would need replacement).

In the National League, the starting infield was filled with Chicago Cubs. Whether you agree with that being the case or not, it limited the number of deserving players that were able to get on the roster due to the limitation that every team must have a representative. For that reason, the Final Vote ballot is stacked with very good players. The five players on the ballot are Brandon Belt, Ryan Braun, Jake Lamb, Starling Marte, and Trevor Story.

Each of the five players on the National League ballot has a great argument for making the All-Star team. All five of them have had great seasons so far in 2016. However, only one of the five can make it. I’m here to tell you who I think it will be.
