The last few days have been full of injury news and updates.  Here are the top injury stories from around the MLB to keep you updated.

Bryce Harper exited Saturday’s game with what was described as general “neck stiffness”. The injury is a bit concerning for the Washington Nationals who are in the middle of a tight division race with the Marlins.

Harper was held out of Sundays lineup as well, though a DL stint is not expected to be needed. He has struggled to find his MVP form this season and this injury may further those struggles. The Nationals need Harper to remain healthy to give their lineup a needed punch going into the postseason.

The Nationals offense is the most concerning part of the potential postseason team and keeping Harper healthy is a major concern. Taking a day off is no cause for concern usually, but if they continue to hold Harper out of the Nationals lineup, then there may be reason for concern.

Regardless of your opinion of the twenty-three year old Harper, lets hope this is not a return to the constant injuries that he had his first few seasons as a National.
