The Chicago Cubs announced today that they have released Kevin Millar, after he lost out on a roster spot to Chad Tracy. Millar, 38, spent his time with the Blue Jays last year in which he had a line of .223/.311/.363 with 7 home runs and 29 RBI’s. The Rangers are expected to have some sort of interest in Millar as a backup first basemen.
