Dodgers Release Jason Repko

The Los Angeles Dodgers cut ties with Jason Repko today, who was their 1999 first round selection.  It was not a difficult choice for the Dodgers, as with the presence of veteran outfielders Garrett Anderson and Reed Johnson, their was no room for Jason Repko to get playing time.

Repko, 29, was plagued by injuries for most of his time with the Dodgers Organization. The last time we saw Repko in the majors on a regular basis was in 2005, when he played in 129 games with dodgers hitting .221/.281/.384  while hitting 8 home runs and driving in 30 runs. Last year, Repko saw 433 at bats with the Dodgers triple A club, hitting .277/.329/.471 while hitting 16 home runs and driving in 47 runs.
