The San Francisco Giants have added to recent influx of Cuban signings in the MLB, as they agreed to terms with Cuban defector Reinier Roibal, who could be considered a starter or a reliever.
The Scouting report on Roibal, thanks to Cuban Ball Players, is that he features a fastball that can reach 96 MPH, while also being able to throw a slider and a sinker. He will likely start in class A with the Giants. At the age of 20, Roibal still is considered to be a raw prospect, meaning he will likely need 2 to 3 years in the minors before being able to contribute to the major league team.
