It’s Friday night and the Royals have started off the Ned Yost era 1-0. That is all the backdrop needed to launch into this weeks edition of the Baseball Side of FanSided.
Now, lets get to the news and links. […]
Staff Announcements:
Four new writers have come on staff in the last week. Jeremy Stewart is the new lead for our Washington Nationals site, Teddy Never Wins. Our Milwaukee Brewers site, Reviewing the Brew, also has a new lead thanks to the arrival of Dave McGrath. Dave’s love of baseball extends beyond the borders of Wisconsin and has been a fan of the Florida Marlins since they came to be. As such, he has elected to add the role of Marlin Maniac contributor to his responsibilities. Both Jeremy and Dave have published several articles already. The other two writers, Matt and Zac Snyder, are still in orientation but will soon join the Motor City Bengals staff as contributing writers.
Call to the Pen also has a new writer. Details on this new addition will be covered in an upcoming post.
Help Wanted:
If you are interested in joining our MLB staff to write for one of the listed teams, please don’t hesitate to contact me at thebaseballfish@fansided.com. We break our staff down into two roles. Lead Writers are expected to write and publish content on a regular basis. Contributing Writers are expected to write and publish at least one article per week but are welcome to write more if they choose to do so.

The BBSoFS is a weekly article designed to highlight one article from each of our MLB sites on the FanSided.com Sports Network. The ultimate goal is to increase the exposure of our MLB team sites, highlight some the work of our writers and in doing so pass along some articles that are relevant to the “happenings” and topics of the week that was. The BBSoFS also affords me the opportunity to announce new writers to our MLB staff and also to announce staff openings that we have. Typically this will be published every Friday but from to time, it will be posted on a Saturday.
