Baseball Side of FanSided (5/29)
Welcome to a Holiday weekend edition of the Baseball Side of FanSided! Before we get to the links, I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day weekend. Oh, and of course if you are going to drink, don’t drive. […]
Announcements:
With the implementation of our Roster Moves daily article, the BBSoFS is moving from a “typically on Friday” column to an “always on Saturday” one.
This week, the MLB lineup of the FanSided.com Sports Network was completed with the launch of our final team site. I’m very pleased to announce that the Houston Astros are now represented by Climbing Tal’s Hill. With the addition of the site comes the addition of a new lead writer to our team. Trevor Harris is joining our staff to cover the Astros for us. He is still in the set-up and orientation process, but will be writing and publishing content soon.
I also wanted to announce that, as of this week, Babes Love Baseball will be included in the BBSoFS links. The site has been an official partner of the FanSided Sports Network for quite some time and should have been included all along.
Finally our Atlanta Braves site, Tomahawk Take, is under new management. Kris Willis, who had been a contributing writer for the site, has taken over as the lead writer.
Help Wanted:
If you are interested in joining our MLB staff to write for one of the listed teams, please don’t hesitate to contact me at thebaseballfish@fansided.com. We break our staff down into two roles. Lead Writers are expected to write and publish content on a regular basis. Contributing Writers are expected to write and publish at least one article per week but are welcome to write more if they choose to do so.

The BBSoFS is a weekly article designed to highlight one article from each of our MLB sites on the FanSided.com Sports Network. The ultimate goal is to increase the exposure of our MLB team sites, highlight some the work of our writers and in doing so pass along some articles that are relevant to the “happenings” and topics of the week that was. The BBSoFS also affords me the opportunity to announce new writers to our MLB staff and also to announce staff openings that we have. Typically this will be published on Saturday morning.
