BBSoFS (7/3): I thought the 4th was tomorrow …

facebooktwitterreddit

Boom!  Bang, boom!  Pop, pop, pop, sizzle … BOOM!  Those are the sounds erupting outside as our neighbors have once again flushed a sizable chunk of their income on fireworks which are illegal to set off in the city limits.  Because some people are inconsiderate idiots, I will have two very overtired boys to deal with tomorrow and several buckets of fireworks “refuse” to pick out of my grass tomorrow before I mow.  You know, because I have nothing better to do with my time …

With my grumpy old man venting out of the way, welcome to another edition of the Baseball Side of FanSided!

Announcements:

A number of announcements to make this week.  First off, Rob Sesso has joined the FanSided MLB team as the new lead writer on Southside Showdown (White Sox).  Rob will be joined by Bryan Baird who just today accepted a spot on the site as a contributor. Two other contributing writers will be joining the FanSided ranks in the coming days and weeks.  Kalup Alexander will join the Halo Hangout staff in support of lead writer Nate Proctor and David Lee will be teaming up with Kris Willis over on Tomahawk Take.

Help Wanted:

If you are interested in joining our MLB staff to write for one of the listed teams, please don’t hesitate to contact me at thebaseballfish@fansided.com.  We break our staff down into two roles.  Lead Writers are expected to write and publish content on a regular basis.  Contributing Writers are expected to write and publish at least one article per week but are welcome to write more if they choose to do so.  On that topic, we are always looking to add contributors to our staff so if you want to cover a team not listed below, please contact me to discuss.

Lead Writer: Rox Pile (Colorado Rockies)

Contributing Writer: Deep Left Field (Cleveland Indians)
Contributing Writer: BoSox Injection (Boston Red Sox)
Contributing Writer: Kings of Kauffman (Kansas City Royals)
Contributing Writer: Swingin’ A’s (Oakland Athletics)
