Many Teams Showing Interest in Hiroki Kuroda

Sell, sell, sell.

That’s the answer Jon Paul Morosi gave to his question, what should the Dodgers do next?

The club certainly has some coveted young talent in Matt Kemp, Andre Ethier and Clayton Kershaw, but as most would agree, Morosi says the team needs to hold only their young core.

However, the team does have some other parts they’ll be looking to move come deadline time.  Several veterans sit atop that list, but none as highly regarded as starter Hiroki Kuroda.

Kuroda’s been solid for the Dodgers this season, his 4th with the club since coming over as a free agent from Japan.  In 101.2 innings this year Kuroda’s maintained an ERA of 3.10 to go with his 1.249 WHIP.

He’s only gotten better as the year’s progressed.  The 36 year old has a 2.12 earned run average in June.  Despite this, he’s not only failed to win this month, but has collected 4 tough luck loses.

Kuroda’s been just as good in previous years with the Dodgers, as he’s kept a career ERA of 3.52.

Morosi says that a lot of teams have shown interest in the right hander, with Colorado and Cincinnati scouting his last start.
