After its brief hiatus, baseball is back in action tonight as the Texas Rangers are in St. Louis to take on the Cardinals in game one of the 2011 World Series. Below is the full schedule for this year’s Fall Classic and the expected pitching matchups for each of the first four games.
Because the National League prevailed over the AL for the second time in as many years, the Cardinals gained home field advantage for the World Series. To the chagrin of many, games one and two and, if necessary, six and seven will be played in St. Louis even though the Rangers compiled a better regular season record than the Cardinals.
