Pen Polls: Who will Sign Prince Fielder?

Continuing our free agent series of polls, we’d like to see what team our readers think will sign Prince Fielder this winter.  While the market for Fielder is still taking shape, there are several clubs that have been tied to the slugging first baseman this offseason.  So, with that being said, let’s hear where you think Prince Fielder will land.

Do you think Fielder will stay in the National League Central and take his talents to the Chicago Cubs?  Theo Epstein and his new crew would certainly make their new fans happy by reeling in one of the market’s top free agents in Fielder.  Chicago’s looking for a first baseman, but does Fielder want to join the Cubs?

The Texas Rangers appear to have the money it would take to bring in Fielder.  Nolan Ryan and company have said they have faith in current first baseman Mitch Moreland, but if the team misses out on a starter this winter will they look to add another impact bat like they did last year with Adrian Beltre?

The Seattle Mariners have been rumored to have interest in Fielder.  Seattle is definitely in need of offense, but the Mariners do have an up-and-coming first baseman on their roster in Justin Smoak.  While Smoak may possess potential, he shouldn’t cause Seattle to hesitate if the opportunity to sign Fielder presents itself.

The Miami Marlins have checked in on just about every big time free agent on the market.  While they do have an offer out to Fielder’s counterpart Albert Pujols, Miami has said they would consider making a run at Prince if their other talks fall through.

While it’s looking like Fielder’s time in Milwaukee is up, the Brewers haven’t completely shut the door on bringing back the slugger.  Milwaukee believes they can contend with or without Fielder, but bringing Prince back would certainly boost the Brewers chances.
