Hello loyal Seedlings to Stars readers – and anyone else who has stumbled upon our little slice of heaven on the internet! As you can tell from the title, we will be undergoing some scheduled downtime. I emphasize the word scheduled because this is actually planned as opposed to the gremlins that randomly attacked our servers and various plug-ins about two weeks ago.
If you are a regular or semi-regular reader of any of the FanSided sites, you’ve probably already noticed a significant improvement in load times since we had those intermittent problems. This downtime will entail upgrading the servers that our network is running on to further augment those load times as well as improve the overall stability of each and every one of our sites.
As a result of these server upgrades our entire network will be down from 5:00-8:00 am Eastern on December 26th. In other words in about 8 hours you won’t be able to load Seedlings to Stars or any of your other FanSided favorites for a few hours.
This upgrade is also the harbinger of some massive improvements and changes that we have planned for the future. While I can’t divulge the specifics on any of those things, once they are revealed I think you will agree that a few hours of inconvenience will be worth it in the long run – both for our staff and our beloved readers.
