I’m proud to announce that this week, I teamed up with two of my Twitter buddies, David Spencer and David Wiers, to launch a new podcast we’ve dubbed “The 20-80 Report.” While it’s not explicitly focused on the minor leagues, and we’ll also discuss some MLB news in most episodes, S2S readers should always find a fair amount of prospect-related content in every episode.
We’re still in the process of submitting to iTunes, and I’m still figuring out the technical side of everything, but I’m sure that’ll all get squared away between now and Episode 2. Find out what we discussed in Episode 1 and/or go straight to the link, after the jump.
Episode 1: Recorded 1/10/12
Runtime: 89:25
Topics:
1.) Introduction
2.) Oakland A’s Rebuilding
3.) Trading Prospects Away: The New Market Inefficiency?
4.) The Bobby Abreu Vesting Option Debacle
5.) The Fielder Dilemma: Does Prince Make Sense in DC?
6.) Arizona’s Organizational Imbalance
7.) David Holmberg: Top Prospect or Afterthought?
8.) Hak-Ju Lee, Wiers’ Mancrush
9.) Anthony Gose Oozing Tools
I’m still learning about RSS feeds, but if you’re savvy with that sort of thing, go here. Otherwise, this should work just fine to play the audio in your browser.
I’ve created a Twitter account for the podcast, so you can keep up to date with everything 20-80 Report there, in addition to my own Twitter. If you’ve got anything you’d like us to discuss on future shows, email us ideas at 2080report@gmail.com.
Hope you enjoy this and future episodes!
