FanSided MLB's 2012 Draft Content Recap

Tuesday afternoon Matt published his article on Boston’s selection of LHP Brian Johnson with the 31st pick in the 2012 MLB Draft. That profile marked the end of our 1st round selection series and I’m elated with how smoothly it went. It took us three and a half months to complete the same project last year so the bar was set pretty low, but in just 8 days we published at least 500 words on all 31 players picked in the first round.

If you missed any of the profiles, or if you ever want to refer back to them, you can check out the 2012 Draft Class page that I created and have been updating along the way. In addition to the first round picks (with links to our write-ups) you can also find information on each pick’s sign date and bonus received.

Right now I have the 1st and Compensation Round A added to the page, but plan to go through at least the third round. I will continue to update the signing date/bonus information as it comes out. Links to our three mock drafts are also on that page for reference and archival purposes.

While I am in the mode of wrapping up our 1st round pick project, I wanted to take a moment and provide links to the draft related content that has been published on each of the 30 FanSided MLB team sites in the last week or so as well. I hope you find this list to be of use and value to you, but if it isn’t, it will serve as a fantastic reference for yours truly going forward.
