Looking to complete an earlier trade, the Boston Red Sox have acquired right-hander Graham Godfrey from the Oakland Athletics, according to MLBTR. The deal finalizes a November trade in which the Sox sent Sandy Rosario to Oakland in exchange for a player to be named later.

Godfrey, 28, has seen some minimal time with the A’s over the past two seasons, making 8 starts and appearing in 10 games. He’s combined for a 1-6 mark and 5.09 ERA in 46.0 innings of work, adding 4.5 K/9 and 2.9 BB/9. He spent most of the 2012 season in Triple-A, posting a 9-2 record and 3.29 ERA over 104.0 innings. Boston has already assigned him to their Triple-A affiliate in Pawtucket, where he’ll likely work out of their starting rotation in the hopes that he can provide some organizational depth should a need arise.
Rosario went 0-2 with a 1.99 ERA and 8.2 K/9 in 31.2 innings this past season in the Marlins minor league system. Boston had claimed him off of waivers in early October, only to designate him for assignment as teams needed to finalize their 40-man rosters in mid-November. Oakland would DFA Rosario just a few days after acquiring him from the Red Sox.
