Welcome to Cliff Notes, a new semi-regular feature we plan to do going forward. In a nutshell this will be a daily* link dump with articles and news from various sites that deal with minor league baseball, prospects, and the MLB draft. There’s really no additional explanation required, so enjoy as you start your morning!

Prospect Lists:

Over on Baseball Prospect Nation, Mark Anderson published his Top-150 prospect list. He tabbed Oscar Taveras as the #1 prospect in baseball with Jurickson Profar slotted at #2. Personally this is an fantastic list at the top and Mark linked to the scouting reports he did on each player which is a wonderfully convenient touch. I think Miguel Sano is woefully under-ranked at #18, but as a Royals/Twins fan I’m admittedly biased and some sources have him pushed even further down in the rankings.

The last few days, Bullpen Banter has been revealing their individual Top-125 lists that were used to create the sites overall Top-100. Among those recently posted are lists from Conor DowleyChris Blessing and JD Sussman.

Recently the guys over on Baseball Instinct have been very busy rolling out the rest of their team-based Top-21 prospect lists. Thomas Belmont handled the Phildelphia Phillies while George Utter tackled the Oakland Athletics and Milwaukee Brewers.

Yesterday’s Content:

David Laurila published a Q&A he did with D-Backs prospect Archie Bradley on FanGraphs.

John Sickels posted Part Two of his Sleeper Prospects for 2013 with 3B Patrick Leonard – who was a part of the package the Royals surrendered for James Shields and Wade Davis – making an appearance. That trade still makes me sick to my stomach.

If you are a fan of the Big Ten and/or a fan of the MLB Draft, you will no doubt enjoy reading Rob Ozga’s 2013 MLB Draft Conference Preview.
