Wrigley Edition: How should I dress for a ballgame in the cold?
Forty-degree weather, low clouds, the type of weather where you entertain yourself by seeing your breath in this cold, chilly weather. Since you are a baseball fan, and your schedule allows you to see one of the eighty day games at Wrigley Field (rough estimate), so you decide today would be a great day to go to the yard. Why not! Great decision, especially since they were giving out texting gloves today to the first 10,000 fans that showed up. So now, you need to decide what you’re going to wear. Lucky for you, I have a sampling of some fine decisions of gear to wear.
Hoodie/Heavy Jacket, perhaps plus a scarf
Here you will see the Cubs owner in the nice Cubs gear speaking with fans as the organization begins to get ready for their renovations. The fans are dressed as you might guess most would: layer it on, and enjoy a game. Good choice!
Super fan
Some people take sports games as a chance to blend in and relax, and then there’s the two-man rock band featured here. Impossible-to-ignore orange, aviators, with plenty of layers so you don’t get cold. A very loud, but still a worthy choice for a baseball game!
Dark Sith Lord
You’ve been busy conquering the galaxy and was promised a nice day in Chicago. People can barely see your eyes, you try to use the force to make the weather better… Unfortunately, you find your powers do not work on this planet. At least you’ll stay warm, my lord.
Just stoppin’ by before going to the gym
This guy has an expression that gives birth to memes. Seriously, sleeveless shirt, thinking face on, cold as all heck, you have to love this guy. Before the game, I wonder what he was pondering when he was deciding his wardrobe. Whatever it was, he is the star of this article, and good sir, I salute you with two hands.
How do you get ready for a game in the cold? I wish I could pull off a sleeveless shirt like our hero in the last photo, but I can’t do that anymore.
