MLB All-Star Game 2013: Manny Machado Flashes Leather

In his first career All-Star Game, Manny Machado didn’t waste much time before turning the heads of his peers. Shortly after entering the game at third base, he made an incredible play going into foul territory to catch a high, bouncing ball and throwing across the diamond to get Paul Goldschmidt of the Arizona Diamondbacks at first base.

Machado, a natural shortstop, was taught third base in the minor leagues of the Baltimore Orioles organization. More than likely, he will resume his career at his natural position once the J.J. Hardy era comes to an end in Baltimore.

It is clear that people across the world think highly of Machado. One thing remains clear: the Orioles are lucky to have a player as talented and as young as Manny Machado.
