Pitcher of the Year Archie Bradley, Mobile (ARI)

The numbers speak for themselves. Bradley was 12-5 with a 1.97 ERA and 119 strikeouts over 123 1/3 innings for the BayBears. He also tortured High-A hitters for five starts before advancing up to Double-A. The No. 7 pick of the 2011 Draft, Bradley managed to shave his walk rate from 5.6 BB/9 in 2012 to 4.1 this season. The 21-year-old was ranked fifth overall and was the top pitcher on Jason Parks’ Midseason Top-50 Prospects list.

Most Valuable Player Marcus Semien, Birmingham (CHW)

A 2011 sixth-round pick of the White Sox, Semien exceeded expectations this season in Birmingham. While primarily playing shortstop with some third base mixed in, the Cal-Berkeley product hit .290/.420/.483 in the Southern League. Between Double-A and Triple-A, Semien hit 19 home runs and swiped 24 bases. He also ended the year with more walks (98) than strikeouts (90).  Semien’s big 2013 earned him a September callup. The 22-year-old made his Major League debut Sept. 4, going 2-for-4 with an RBI.
