The Atlanta Braves are facing elimination and playing in front of a raucous Los Angeles Dodgers crowd might not be the best medicine if they wish to return home for a Game 5. The Dodgers busted out some lumber last evening scoring 13 runs, including 10 over three innings, in taking a 2-1 lead in the series. Carl Crawford and Juan Uribe both hit home runs. Crawford scored three runs while Uribe crossed the plate twice.

Here’s your information on tonight’s game:

Date:Monday, October 7th
Start Time: 9:00 PM EST
Location: Los Angeles, California
Venue: Dodger Stadium
TV Info: TBS
Radio Info: ESPN Radio, 570 FOX Sports (LA), 680 AM/93.7 FM (ATL)
Live Stream: MLB.tv or the MLB at Bat 12 App.

The Braves look to surprise starter Freddy Garcia (4-7, 4.37 ERA, 1.245 WHIP on season; 1-2, 1.65 ERA, 1.024 WHIP with ATL) to extend their season by at least one more game. After 11 less than impressive games as a member of the Baltimore Orioles, the Braves purchased Garcia from the O’s. Garcia does have postseason experience. His last game was in the 2011 ALDS when he was with the New York Yankees, and he was a member of the 2005 Chicago White Sox. The Pale Hose took home the big prize that season.

Another surprise was the announcement from Dodgers manager Don Mattingly that he would go back to Game 1 starter Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw is on short rest, but the original starter, Ricky Nolasco, could be brought in if Kershaw should get into any trouble in the early going or even log a couple of innings should Kershaw deliver five or six strong innings.

Kershaw’s Game 1 line: 7 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 12 SO. Nice outing.
