Clayton Kershaw Does the Dishes Wearing a WWE Cy Young Belt

I have no idea what kind of stuff Cy Young winners used to get by way of trophies, but I can tell you this for certain: it wasn’t as awesome as what they are getting now. It wasn’t as awesome as an authentic WWE Championship Belt.

Cy Young pitchers Clayton Kershaw and Max Scherzer both received belts in honor of their accomplishment. Kershaw couldn’t wait to show his off. So he went on Twitter.

Somewhere Macho Man Randy Savage is smiling and giving Kershaw a big “Oh yeah.” I mean it too. Savage would truly appreciate Kershaw’s belt. Cause not only was Savage once a pro wrestling champ himself, he was also a baseball player. Before joining the wrestling ranks, the man then known as Randy Poffo was a catcher in the Reds system. He got as high as A ball before deciding that baseball wasn’t for him.

And the rest is flying-elbow-drop-delivering history.

And since we’re talking about Dodgers pitchers and Randy “Macho Man” Savage, I would be remiss if I didn’t post this:
