Huge news for fans of the inflated-stat-era of major league baseball. A collection of prized memorabilia from the 1990s is currently available for auction via Lelands. All the items in this historic assortment were once owned by Texas Rangers slugger Juan Gonzalez.

The centerpiece of this collection is Gonzalez’ 1996 AL MVP trophy, signed by Gonzalez. The most recent bid on this item was $11,000. So get your bids in now, and own this piece of MLB history named after horrible racist commissioner Kenesaw Mountain Landis.

Also available from the Juan Gonzalez Collection:

A crown.

A couple Silver Slugger awards.

A Roberto Clemente award.

A 1997 Player-of-the-Month award.

A special Juan Gonzalez equipment pack including jerseys, helmets and bats.

That Player-of-the-Month award is a pretty nice value at just $300. What a great conversation starter that would be.

“Hey Joe what’s the trophy?”

“Oh that? That’s just Juan Gonzalez’s POM trophy from September 1997 when he hit .337 with 10 homers and 26 RBI.”

“Wow. Pretty big month for Gonzalez.”

“Yup. It was a great month.”

“Hey didn’t your mom die in September 1997?”

“Yeah she did. Sad. But hey, Gonzalez. Wasn’t he a hell of a hitter?”

“Sure was. Sure was.”
