I can’t believe it’s been almost eight years since the infamous Michael Barrett-A.J. Pierzynski home plate encounter. Wow. How time flies.

The Cubs-White Sox rivalry has had a lot of electrifying moments, but none was better than the Michael Barrett punch and ensuing brawl. My favorite part is that dwarf Scott Podsednik taking down Barrett.

And MLB is going to eliminate home plate collisions? But then we’ll never have great moments like this again.

A.J. Pierzynski, so scrappy. You love him when he’s on your team and hate him when he’s on the other team! Ain’t that about right?

Happy birthday A.J. Pierzynski. And to Michael Barrett…where are you bud?
