Highlights from the 2013 MLB Season: The Errors

Here’s some more highlights from the 2013 MLB Season. Well, in this case, they may be considered lowlights as we’ll look back at some of baseball’s, um, less than stellar fielding. Again, these are not in any particular order, just a few videos that stuck with me.
Mets make an error…and more.
Why this? Even after hearing all of the Calliope music, you might find it hard to believe that the Mets WON this game by a final of 4-3. Kirk Nieuwenhuis cranked a walk-off, three-run homer.
And off Carlos Marmol, no less.
2. Five errors in five innings? The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim proves that this feat can be done.
Here’s the five errors along with the inning and if a run scored or not: Andrew Romine (1st, run scored), Garrett Richards (2nd, run scored), Erick Aybar (3rd, run scored); Kole Calhoun (4th, no run scored), Collin Cowgill (5th, run scored).
The Rangers took the win, 7-4. Only 4 of the 7 runs were earned.
3. Boston fumbles around and around and around.
Wait. Shane Victorino committed one of the errors? That simply can’t be.
4. Imagine getting a no-no because of this…
Good for Henderson Alvarez, but not so much for Luke Putkonen and Brayan Pena. And on the last day of the regular season.
5. Classic Hawk…
“You gotta be bleepin’ me” might be Hawk’s new catch phrase.
6. Maybe this one will be remembered for a while since it occurred during the World Series.
